Prayer is important to us at Promise. We don’t see it as an afterthought or an add on ministry, but a vital core to everything we do.
Most people don’t enjoy prayer. For them, it’s somewhat like exercise—they like the outcomes but they don’t enjoy the activity.
Prayer requires effort, but it can also be fun. The fun part of prayer is connecting with God. Enjoying his presence. Hearing from Him. Having Him answer your requests.
We have two corporate prayer times during the week.
We meet Tuesday nights from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. in our lounge to pray and worship. We also fast as a congregation the first Monday to Tuesday each month. We begin our fast at Monday at 7:30 p.m. and end it Tuesday at 7:30 p.m.
We come together at 10 a.m. in our sanctuary for a time of prayer before our services. We also listen to the Holy Spirit and what He is speaking to us during this corporate prayer time.
